Jeremy's Dream Blog

When I remember them, I try to write down my dreams. Largely inspired by Dunne, it's also fun to do.

Update: I got that movie I mentioned earlier, and it was actually Joanna Cassidy, not Joanna Kerns.

I'm also come to realize I have no idea who the hell either woman is.

She looked like Shirley McClain. In his new age wacko phase.

This was a very weird, very vivid dream.

It started off with me watching this movie. A DVD from Netflix. THen the rest of the dream was the movie.

It was "Lost something or other" starring Joanna Kerns and started off with her and presumably her character's daughter dressed as music groupies.

Anyway, from there it started involving 2 bands. Two sort of punk rock bands. I say sort of, because they were sort of 80s-ish punk.

It seems they were rival bands, and one of them convinced the drummer of the other band to do a stunt involving a peanut, and somehow or other he ended up hurting his arm.

So they had to get a fill in drummer. Except he wasn't very good. He wasn't bad, but he wasn't great, like the original guy.

That's when I woke up.

There was a character that looked like me, I think it must have been Corey Feldman.

But the whole thing was very funny. Funnier than I thought.

I'm guessing the inspiration for this dream was a) the fact that I'm getting a Joanna Kerns movie from Netflix (Witches of the Carribean, a B horror movie which I love) b) I watched the "Asspen" episode of South Park before I went to sleep, which was a parody of an 80s style comedy (like my dream) c) I was playing The Movies last night on the comptuer and d) I was listening to music before I fell asleep, including Joy Division (which is a good deal more depressing than the bands in the movie, but...)

Okay, this was weird. I was this private detective's sidekick. We drove all around, trying to solve this case.

The private detective was played by Lucy Lawless. Why, I dunno, I've always found her a bit "bleh", but she was on the cover of the most recent TV guide from the paper which I was reading before I fell asleep.

Anyway, we were getting somewhere on the case, and we went into a store (gun shop) and someone I got framed by a crooked cop. I don't remember the specifics, but it involved a gun (a revolver).
